2019 US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championships continue in Saginaw, Mich.
The 01 Wolves competed against a familiar foe this Saturday in Team Challenger FC, a team they had played in the Great Lakes League. Determined to beat the Wolves this time around, Team Challenger FC came out strong in the first half. The Wolves fended off multiple Challenger attacks, then capitalized off of a chance of their own thanks to Justin Wojcik’s rebound goal. The Wolves were up 1-0 at the half. After a tough 10 opening minutes to the second half, Justin Wojcik found Charlie Sharp off a throw-in and he attacked open space and slotted a shot past the keeper. Saeid would cement the victory off of a Zeke Gray long ball assist. The Wolves look to win the group with either a win or draw against Sporting Iowa tomorrow.
