HUNTINGTON, Ind. – HU rookie Caleb Sexton picked up his first Crossroads League Player of the Week badge by earning this week’s offensive honor for his performance against Saint Francis on Saturday.

Sexton (Jackson HS) got his team off to a hot start in the league tourney when he blistered a shot back netting on a restart less than three minutes into the quarterfinal matchup with the Cougars. The Spring Arbor (Mich.) native then helped put the game out of reach by assisting HU’s next to goals to finish the day with four points in the 4-1 victory.

To date, Sexton has collected four goals and a team-leading ten assists on the year. The freshman midfielder currently ranks 19th in the NAIA in total assists and 27th in assists per game (0.59).

With Saturday’s win, the 2nd-seeded Foresters advance to the semifinals on Saturday where they will host 3rd-seeded Bethel at 2:00 p.m.
