2019 ENPL Playoff Message
Boys ECNL Member Clubs,
Last week, US Club Soccer released the dates and venue for the 2019 Elite National Premier League (ENPL) Playoffs, which will be held June 28 – July 2, 2019 at Mercyhealth Sportscore Two in Rockford, Ill. This year’s ENPL Playoff platform debuts a new structure featuring all qualifying U14 – U18/19 teams in one location, instead of dividing into an “east” and “west” format as in 2018. The new format should enhance the event experience and improve the players’ college exposure by bringing all qualifying teams into one venue.
For the U14 – U17 teams, the ENPL Playoff event at Mercyhealth Sportscore is the first of a two-stage post-season, with top teams from the event advancing to the 2019 ENPL Finals: the top four teams from the U14 age group, and the top eight teams from each of the U15, U16 and U17 age groups will advance to the ENPL Finals. The dates and location of the 2019 ENPL National Finals will be announced soon. For the U18/19 age group, the 2019 ENPL National Playoffs is a single-stage postseason with the national championship awarded in Illinois.
Similar to last year, the 2019 ENPL Playoffs will feature qualifying teams from both Boys ECNL Conferences and US Club Soccer’s NPLs. All qualifying Boys ECNL teams will be competing for the ENPL National Championship this year. The qualifying teams from each Boys ECNL Conference, at each age group, are listed below:
· U14 Boys ECNL Qualifiers by Conference:
· Midwest, Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, Mid-Atlantic, Texas – 2 teams each
· Mountain – 1 team
· U15, U16, U17 Boys ECNL Qualifiers by Conference:
· Texas, Southeast, Southwest – 4 teams each
· Midwest, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic – 3 teams each
· Mountain – 2 teams each
· U18/19 Boys ECNL Qualifiers by Conference:
· The winner of each Boys ECNL Conference
This is the second year of post-season collaboration between Boys ECNL and US Club Soccer, and we hope to build on last year’s event to create an improved and even more exciting post-season experience for our membership in 2019. The ENPL Playoffs and ENPL Finals will continue to be operated by US Club Soccer in this new format. US Club Soccer will publicly outline the full structure of the event in the coming weeks, but we wanted to internally provide our clubs with information on qualifying as soon as possible.
